SOS World Record 100-Way 2022

Well, I (Dan BC) never thought I'd be saying this but here it is. I've decided to organize an SOS 100-Way World Record next year!! Three reasons: 1) I'm turning 60 in February. 2) There are so many of us who are in our 60s and 70s and still skydiving and flying great! It needs to be done. 3) There is interest in a documentary about people 60 and older still living life to its fullest and following their passions. Who better to demonstrate that than us and what a great opportunity to show our sport to the world.

Because I'm turning 60!

Dates: April 7th - April 10th, 2022
This is a Thursday through Sunday.

Location: Skydive Perris, CA
Please refer to the drop zone website for information about local camping, bunkhouse, and nearby hotels: www.skydiveperris.com/facilities.aspx (click on "Bunkhouse & IHOP" or "Travel & Accomodations").

The Goal:
First do a 100-Way SOS World Record largest freefall formation. Second, the confidence in our team to successfully do the first record is so high that we'll also plan to follow it with an SOS Sequential 100-Way World Record.

The Team:
We aren't messing around. We're doing a record. In June we sent out an email to nearly everyone 60 or older who is on the P3 Power Play and Spring Fling list just to test the water on who would be interested. We had a very enthusiastic response from 55 of them! That's a pretty good start for a record team and gave us the confidence to build from there. For the documentary we also want to show the sport in it's best light which includes the great diversity that is our skydiving family. We want to include as many jumpers as possible from all backgrounds and all over the world. But the first priority is that they have the skill and experience to nail this record in one day.

Committed Captains already on board are Kate Cooper-Jensen, Patrick Passe, Larry Henderson, Scott Latinis and Dan BC.

Price: $1160 USD for 18 jumps (subject to a potential fuel surcharge*).
All jumps will be multiple aircraft formations, most jumps will be made from altitudes ranging between 15,000' to 18,500' AGL using oxygen. This cost also INCLUDES video and still photographs of the dives.

* The stated event price is based on fuel prices as of July 2021. If fuel prices increase significantly between July 2021 and April 2022, P3 may be forced to add a FUEL SURCHARGE to the price of the event.

Deposit Required: $350 USD, once your application is accepted, is required in advance to secure your slot. This deposit will be applied towards the total event price. The balance of $810 is due prior to 8:00am on Day 1 of the event.
